History of Corona Virus: In December last year(2019), reports started to emerge that a coronavirus that specialists had never before seen in humans had begun to spread among the population of Wuhan, a large city in the Chinese province of Hubei. According to their specific characteristics, there are 4 main "ranks"(genera) of coronaviruses, which are called alpha, beta, delta and gamma. Review:The Girl I Last Loved

Image
About The Author & Book: A Template oriented story about two friends of opposite sex refusing to accept that they are meant to be together. Smita Kaushik became an author by chance and now pursuing it by choice. Her first novel "Let's Get Committed" not only created waves in the young generation but also pitched some notes with others as well. She is a creativity inclined Person, she has excelled in different art forms like contemporary, Madhubani & Warli and has won national level Art competitions. The story of this book revolves around Akash and Kasam romantic love story (that is not so romantic in my opinion & don't take my opinion too seriously because I am a Mechanical Engineer so romance and all is not exactly my cup of tea). Love is all about flowers, gifts, movie nights, first kiss and many more(which I never gave or received;-P) Or is it? Then what about one-sided love(Since ages I am doing that only)... Being friends in spite of ...

Elon Musk - "How The Billionaire CEO of SpaceX and Tesla is Shaping Our Future"

Image
About: Ashlee Vance, in this book, traces Elon Musk' journey from his childhood in South Africa, to the University days in Canada and start of his career in Silicon Valley. The speed bumps Musk faced in setting up Paypal and his other two companies are very well documented. The author took permission from Elon Musk before starting this book, but this does not mean that this is a skewed account of Elon Musk's exploits. The book interviews current and ex-employees, rivals, supporters and downright detractors. This is a very balanced book which paints a picture of Musk as a man who flawed as a human being but is a ray of hope as an idea for humankind. This is a very well-written biography. I always wanted to know about the man trying to change the world and this book gave me an unbiased view on Elon and his companies that have the potential to disrupt industries. It beautifully reveals the struggle, the dedication, the drive, and the ruthlessness that exists within Elon...

Image
About: In unstable, fast-changing environments, flexible operations and the quick turnaround can offer real competitive advantages by allowing you to respond quickly to the market. In "The Goal: A Process of Ongoing Improvement", Eliyahu Goldratt uses a story to explain several inter-related management concepts that are especially useful for operations management and strategic planning. You can also apply the ideas in general management and your personal life. The Goal: A Process Of Ongoing Improvement: The story centers around Alex Rogo(AI), a Plant Manager at UniCo Manufacturing who had been transferred to a loss-making manufacturing plant that was perpetually late with its order. Six months into the job, AI was shocked to know that every plant in the division is losing money. If things didn't improve in a year, the entire division would be sold off. Alex was in turn given a moratorium: if he couldn't turn his plant around in 3 months, it would be cl...
